At Preparing the Bride 2022, we unveiled the vision of the bride, where we learned who we were in Christ. We understood our identity and was challenged to walk with clarity, precision and confidence in everything that we do. In Preparing the Bride 2023, He adorned the bride. God is beautifying us, giving us joy in place of our sorrows and turning our ashes into beauty. This is a new day and we are excited to be part of it.

Pastor Tawana Brent
Pastor Tawana Brent was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is a servant leader, wife, mother, and is the Senior Pastor and Chief Servant of the Abundant Life Family Worship Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Over the years, through life experiences, biblical teaching and ministry training from great leadership, God has developed the gifts He has already placed in her. Her service as a ministry leader for 25+ years has prepared her for the great assignment that God has called her to. Pastor Brent is a capable deliverer of the Word of God and has entered into a new season in her ministry.
There is no doubt whose side she’s on. A woman after God’s own heart, Pastor Brent has a desire to win souls for Christ. Her goal as a servant leader is to empower the people of God, through the Word of God. To call them out from captivity, and into the freedom and liberty we all have in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Evangelist Shelise Whitley is a native of Roselle, New Jersey. Shelise has been involved in music all her life; she likes many different genres of music, but her first love and foundation is gospel music, because that’s where Jesus dwells. From the time she was able to sing, she started in the junior choir, then moved on to the young adult choir, adult choir, various other choirs, worship leader, and even sang with her sisters, “The Whitley Sisters.” Additionally, she is an evangelist at Mt. Calvary Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she was born and raised. Shelise has been singing gospel music professionally for over 30 years; however, Shelise will always be a “Humble-Anointed-Worshipping-Girl Warrior” for the Lord. Shelise is proud and excited to say that she is saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost!
